Boy arrested for killing friend over borrowed clothing

NATIONAL NEWS - A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his friend to death during a fight over borrowed clothing in the Free State.

The teenager fled on foot while his 17-year-old friend was declared dead on the scene on Saturday evening.

The boy handed himself over to police in Thabong this morning.

The police's Mamello Mokhuone says the boy has been released into the custody of his grandmother until his court appearance on Wednesday.
