NATIONAL NEWS - One person has died and another person has been injured after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the N11 Majuba Pass yesterday (November 7).
According to sources at the scene, the bakkie was reportedly taking a bend when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
“It is believed the bakkie rolled three times before it came to a standstill, landing on one of the occupants,” said one of the sources.
The person upon which the vehicle landed has been declared dead at the scene. The other person has sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital for further treatment.
Emergency personnel were on the scene and an official investigation into the cause of the roll-over is underway.
