SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS & VIDEO - Members of the sheriff’s office in George are on site at Angie’s G Spot in De Vlugt to oversee the demolition of most of the structures.
Angie’s is a popular stop-over for travellers and bikers on the road between Uniondale and Knysna which leads over the Prince Alfred Pass.
The George Municipality obtained a court judgement last year declaring the structures on Angie’s G Spot illegal. Angie and Harold Beaumont bought the riverside property twelve years ago and over eleven years they added a pub, restaurant, workshop and accommodation to the existing dwelling which in which they live.
Following the court order last year the Beaumonts have had an uphill battle trying to keep their business open and to be granted permission to live there.
They maintain that there is a vendetta against them from a neighbour who wants to see them close down.
