NATIONAL NEWS - Social media recently lit up after a post about a dog whose ear was cut at the Pompeii Pet Parlour in Lonehill.
A Facebook post by user Jodi-Ann Pearton said, “[I am] utterly disgusted by Pompeii the new pet salon at Lonehill Shopping Centre. We took our dogs there today, and they cut 1cm of our Yorkies [dog] ear off and didn’t tell us.”
Pearton added that in an attempt to hide the incident, the parlour simply dumped the dog in his bag and handed it back to her.
“We got home to our dog covered in blood and with half an ear,” Pearton added.
An owner of the salon who wished to remain anonymous, explained that they were made aware of the incident the following day. “The dog was groomed by a new groomer who was still on probation. She was scared and didn’t want to lose the opportunity of the job. We only became aware of the incident the following day.”
