NATIONAL NEWS - Closing arguments in the murder trial of Port Elizabeth school teacher Jayde Panayiotou will be delivered next week.
The trial against her husband Christopher Panayiotou and his co-accused Sinethemba Nenembe and Zolani Sibeko officially drew to a close in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday.
Panayiotou is believed to have orchestrated his wife’s killing in April 2015.
Following several months of evidence, the State will make its closing arguments before Judge Dayalin Chetty next Thursday followed by the defence.
The trial has seen several aspects of the Panayiotou couple’s personal life being exposed, including an extramarital affair by the accused.
