OUDTSHOORN NEWS - It is with great sadness to announce the passing on of DA Councillor Pieter Luiters of Ward 13 who was also the Executive Mayoral Committee member, chairing the Strategic Services Portfolio Committe.
Councillor Luiters passed on at his Bridgton home, this afternoon (Saturday, 24 February 2018).
Executive Mayor for Greater Oudtshoorn Councillor Colan Sylvester expressed his shock for depature of Luiters.
"We are deeply devastated by the loss of a colleague who selflessly served the Greater Oudtshoorn with pride and dignity."
"He will surely be mourned by many as he dedicated his life as a servant of the people; May his soul rest in peace."
Luiters is survived by his wife and children. Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
