Joburg Ballet CEO accused of illegally taking R900 000 from company

NATIONAL NEWS - Suspended Joburg Ballet CEO Dirk Badenhorst has been accused of unlawfully transferring almost R1 million of the company's money into his private bank account.

The accusation, first made late last year in a civil law suit, does not relate to his recent suspension which concerns corporate governance and financial management.

Badenhorst has declined to comment on the civil claim but has stated in an affidavit before court that he considers the transfer to have been perfectly above board.
