KNYSNA NEWS - A plea to help find missing cyclist Alan Broderick has been sent out after he was last seen cycling in the Knysna forests yesterday, Saturday 3 December.
According to a social media post sent out by Broderick's family he was last seen wearing cycling shoes, orange top and black shorts, black helmet & sunglasses and a black and blue Giant branded mountain bike. Broderick, 58, is described as being 1,9m tall and 92kg.
His wife dropped him off at the Diepwalle hut and his planned cycle route was through the forest back to Plettenberg Bay on N2 via the Petrus se Brand area. Broderick was reportedly expected back around 14:00 in Plettenberg Bay.
Volunteers have been helping and walking all the cycling paths in search of Broderick. The Petrus Se brand trail has been combed from every angle.
"We appeal to anyone cycling or hiking between Harkerville, the Garden of Eden & Diepwalle to please keep a look out for Alan. He has been missing for more than 24 hours," the family said in the social media post.

Police are yet to provide feedback on the search and the case.
