NATIONAL NEWS - Amy’Leigh de Jager’s alleged kidnappers will spend another week behind bars after the case against the trio was postponed until next week.
The Vanderbijlpark magistrate’s court postponed the case against a teacher from Laerskool Kollegepark and two others in connection with the alleged kidnapping of the six-year-old Amy’Leigh to 19 September.
A fully packed courtroom waited in anticipation of the appearance of the three suspects arrested and charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping last week.
Journalists and photographers were initially asked to leave the court for the magistrate to decide if he would grant the media permission to take photos of the accused.
The magistrate then ruled media was allowed to photograph the accused in the case when the court was not in session.
The three suspects, Tharina Human, Laetitia Nel and Pieter van Zyl made their way to the dock after 12:00.
The case was, however, postponed until 19 September, where Human, Nel and Van Zyl would make a second appearance.
