NATIONAL NEWS - Five suspects were killed and one injured during a shoot-out with police on Monday, 19 February, after they allegedly robbed a house in Kloof.
Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Mazwi Mbatha said the SAPS K9 Unit spotted the getaway car, a white Mercedes Benz on the M13 and gave chase.
“When the suspects saw the police, they shot at them and the police retaliated, five of them were shot and killed and one was injured in the back,” said Mbatha.
The stolen items – TVs, camera and other house items were found in the getaway vehicle.
