MOTORING NEWS - Volkswagen has enhanced its offering in the new Polo Sedan by refreshing the car's design inside and out, as well as offering new colours.
The Polo has also been given a slightly smaller engine capacity delivering the same power as before.
Another enhancement by Volkswagen has been in the service department where the revised Polo Sedan now has a three year or
45 000km service plan as a standard offering.
The interior and exterior designs of the new Polo Sedan have been refreshed with a premium look and feel. The new interior features include a new radio, seat trims, a flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel as well as a multifunction display.
For the exterior, the new Polo Sedan has been given a contemporary appearance with the redesigned front and rear bumpers as well as headlights and front fog lights for the Comfortline derivatives. The Comfortline derivatives also feature chrome accents on the door handles, front lower grille, boot lid and lower rear bumper.
The Trendline derivatives are now offered with colour coded side mirrors and door handles. The indicators that were previously on the fenders have been integrated into the side mirrors.
Four new colours have been added to the new Polo Sedan model range: Titanuim Beige metallic, Night Blue metallic, Carbon Steel metallic and Toffee Brown metallic.The 1.6 TDI engine with 77kW has been replaced with 1.5 TDI. The new engine also delivers 77kW of power.
The new Polo Sedan can been customised with convenience optional features - rear park distance control, cruise control (standard on Comfortline derivatives) and rain sensor with auto-dimming interior mirror (only available on Comfortline derivatives).
In addition to the standard service plan of three years or 45 000km, the new Polo Sedan model range also comes standard with three year or 120 000km and 12 year Anti Corrosion warranties. The service interval is every 15 000km. The retail prices include VAT and CO² emissions tax: 1.4 63kW Trendline - R189 900; 1.4 63kW Comfortline - R207 900; 1.6 77kW Trendline - R204 900; 1.6 77kW Comfortline - R219 900; 1.6 77kW Comfortline Tiptronic - R234 900 and 1.5 77kW TDI Comfortline - R247 200.
