MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - The youth representing the six local high schools of Mossel Bay, arrived in numbers today to participate in the beach clean-up starting from Klein Brak River at the Dias Beach.
The event was hosted by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries.

The Junior Town Council of Mossel Bay rallied up the youth to participate, and Working on Fire also sent a team of around 50 members to join the effort.
To cover more ground, the participants had to split up into two groups to work from Klein Brak river to Hartenbos beach, and then from Dias - to Hartenbos beach.
The focus of the clean-up was to collect micro - and macro plastics. At the meeting point in Hartenbos, DEFF gave a talk on the dangers of this type of pollution.
