MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Local artist Renì Seaborne is offering art workshops during the Mossel Bay Arts Festival.
Her Plein Air workshops are taking place in a number of venues. Plein Air is a French term for painting outdoors. Seaborne says: "You can also paint indoors and look out of a window, at scenery or an urban scene." The workshops are taking place at:
Marguerite Coffee & Art Café in Market Street, Mossel Bay, on 4, 11 and 18 August.
Klipheuwel Farm Stall at the Little Brak offramp from the N2 on 3 and 26 August.
Onder Die Denne in Alwyndal, outside Mossel Bay on 8 August; and Jackal on the Beach restaurant at Santos Beach, Mossel Bay, on 5 August and 2 September.
Media and tools
Seaborne says: "I would like to draw in people who have never had the opportunity to paint. I will have the media and tools ready. She will even supply easels, canvas and paper," she says.
The workshops will be for beginners to advanced painters. She will also supply view and value finders to those interested at a good price. She designed and made them herself.
Seaborne notes: "I'm hoping the workshops will get people focused on experiencing our beautiful Mossel Bay with colour and draw the community together with a brush and canvas."
