MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A genet was found in a house in McKinnery Street, Heiderand, in Mossel Bay and safely removed by the Garden Route SPCA Mossel Bay branch.
Terence Ludick sent Mossel Bay Advertiser a photograph and noted: "My wife found it."
His wife, Michelle, told the Advertiser that the Ludicks' neighbour contacted the SPCA after she popped over and saw the animal.
SPCA
One of the SPCA staff removed the animal safely.
Michelle said: "I saw it on the dog's bed. I was a little afraid of it, because it was a wild animal and one is not sure what it will do, whether it will bite you and you will have to get a tetanus injection."
Juvenile
She said it was a juvenile genet, and about 30cm long excluding the length of its tail. She found the genet on Thursday, 1 August. "I think it was looking for a warm place to sleep," she said.
