All interested are invited to join the crowd at this exciting and fun event which is an annual event on George’s calendar.
A number of other races, performance by Elvis Blue and the NLR Wines showcase will complement the event and take George by storm at Tramonto in Geelhoutboom Road. With something to suit everyone it is the perfect opportunity for an enjoyable family outing or for friends and wine lovers to enjoy a day where excellent wine, food, entertainment and activity are the order of the day!
5km, 10km and 21km runs have been organised so social runners and very fit will all be catered for. Registration begins at the Chapel at Tramonto from 06:15 on 20 August.
Wedding Dash
The official runs will be followed by the very popular Wedding Dash at 11:00 (entries taken from 10:00). Strict rules apply All participants are required to wear a wedding gown or wedding attire. Entry is free.

Elvis Blue will perform at The Venue at 12:30 and at 15:00 local band Twintig voor Twee will take to the stage.
A big screen Tri-Nations rugby match will be shown in The Venue at 17:00 and SAB Miller will be the hosts.
Food and drinks will available and amongst a variety of stalls and treats you will find Top 2 Sushi, Zelda’s Coffee, Butlers’ Cheese, Willow Creek Olives, curry and rice, boerewors rolls and pancakes.
Wine trade and farms
There will be wine trading and tastings from 10:00 when NLR Wines will be showcasing a variety of wines including Bon Courage, Hartenberg, Cape Point Vineyards, Raka Estate, Hermanuspietersfontein, Diemersfontein, Kaapzicht, Oak Valley Wines, Louisvale, Strandveld Wines, Ormonde Private Cellar & Weltevrede.
Also on show will be some of the smaller wine farms - Badenhorst Family Wines, Kleinood, Boschkloof, Jakkalsvlei and Rudera.
To keep the children entertained there will be a jumping castle and face-painting.
Tickets cost R100 for adults (entrance to grounds, Elvis Blue Show and Wine Trade), R50 for children under 12 years and free entrance for children under 5.
Entrance to the Wine Trade only costs R20 (adults).

Prizes to be awarded in the Wedding Dash are as follows:
Best dressed female: R1000 cash;
Best dressed male: 3 litre Cap Classique Sparkling Wine from Bon Courage
Women’s winner: 1 night self-catering accommodation for two at "Ons Huisie" on Weltevrede Wine Farm with breakfast at Bon Courage Wine Estate (sponsored by NLR Wines).
Men’s winner: 1 night’s luxurious accommodation in Wilderness at Lodge on the Lake for two, with dinner for two at Cinnamon Boutique to the value of R500 (sponsored by Susan Deacon Properties).
Lucky draws include luxury accommodation for two at Strandveld Winefarm in Elim, travelling vouchers, honeymoon suite accommodation at The Guesthouse @ Tramonto and various wines.
