GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - In the latest weather update from South African Weather Service, fire danger warnings for extremely high fire conditions are expected over the interior of the Namakwa District (N. Cape) and in the Central Karoo District today.
These hot conditions will continue tomorrow, Monday 25 November, and will include the northern parts of the Garden Route District.
A cold front will be passing on Tuesday, south of the country, resulting in significant waves with heights of 4.0 to 5.0m and strong to near gale force (39-61km/h) westerly to south-westerly winds between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas.
These conditions will spread to Plettenberg Bay from the evening, persisiting until Wednesday morning, 27 November.
The combination of these high waves and winds may result in very rough and choppy seas.
