GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Firefighting crews in George are in real need of bottled water, energy drinks, and energy or chocolate bars to sustain them.
Mossel Bay residents may drop off donations at the Mossel Bay Fire Station on the corner of Louis Fourie and Schoeman Streets, or at the offices of By Grace Ambulance service.
This request comes directly from the fire line and firefighters ask that the drinks should be in small bottles or cans to make it easier to handle.
They asked that the public be thanked for their continued support.
The Western Cape Disaster Management Centre has been activated on a small scale due to the ongoing fires in George in the Outeniqua Pass area.
