MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Two of South Africa’s top classical musicians will be giving a beautiful, live recital right here in Mossel Bay.
Fine music lovers can look forward to hearing the renowned cellist Anmari van der Westhuizen, along with well-known pianist François du Toit, playing popular pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Rachmaninoff and the irresistible David Popper.
Du Toit is an associate professor of piano and head of the prestigious Odeion String Quartet at the University of the Free State. François du Toit is associate professor of piano and head of practical studies at the University of Cape Town. Both maestros, who are recipients of multiple, eminent music awards, have played the world over to appreciative audiences.
The Mossel Bay Arts Society is indeed delighted to host this very special concert which takes place on Sunday, 10 October at the Dias Museum. The concert starts at 15:30 - doors open at 14:30. Entry is R150 per person and R130 for paid-up members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society. Scholars are most welcome at R30 each.
