MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Titans Rugby Club’s management celebrated Mandela Day by sharing meals with about 100 Asla Park community members on Saturday 18 July.
Luwellen Marx, the team’s conditioning and fitness coach who also serves as medic, said he and the club’s secretary, Zenobia Prins, management member Johannes Visser and head coach Peter Kleinbooi had gathered on the corner of Adriaans Avenue in Asla to distribute soup, bread, fruit and chips to the adults and children of the community. The children were also given party packs to enjoy.
Marx said Asla Park was chosen as the area to celebrate Mandela Day, as about 99% of the club’s players live there.
“We thank all the sponsors and our supporters who made it possible and teamed up with Mossel Bay Titans on this day,” he said.
