MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Members of the public who use the Hartenbos Satellite Clinic will enjoy an improved facility after the completion of much-needed renovations.
Renovations to the clinic will start at the end of this month, with the last operational day being 28 June.
Services will then be moved to Sonskynvallei for three months until the renovated clinic is ready for use. Services will be rendered on the same days at the Sonskynvallei Clinic as at Hartenbos: on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as before. Those frequenting the Hartenbos
Satellite Clinic are asked to keep to these days.
Improvements to the clinic include a new layout, new entrance and access to the facility as well as a new waiting area, reception, three consulting rooms, a sub-waiting area, observation room and a proper staff kitchenette.
The number of staff will remain the same, as will the doctors' outreaches and services.
"We are overjoyed that this long-overdue project, halted due to Covid-19, will now commence. I know our patients will enjoy the larger and improved facility once renovations are completed," said Primary Health Care Manager, Maria Manuel.
