MOSSEL BAY NEWS - An 18-year-old who was recently found guilty of robbing a man in Asla Park, KwaNonqaba last year, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment, two of which have been suspended.
The 18-year-old, who cannot be named as he was a minor when he committed the crime, robbed a man at knifepoint of his cellphone and shoes in Adriaans Avenue on 21 March last year.
A case of robbery with aggravating circumstances was opened at the KwaNonqaba Police Station.
The station's management has commended Detective Sergeant Vusi Ndala, who was the investigating officer on the case for his resilience and commitment to the case that led to the guilty verdict and sentence.
