MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The final day of the Dias & Port Festival was a blast with the brass bands and choirs taking the stage at Santos.
And what a memorable occasion it was, with Star of Bethlehem brass band from Groot Brak turning 66 years old today, Sunday 4 February.
This is certainly a jewel in the crown of the Mossel Bay area's musical heritage.
Little children who must be younger than 10 years, up to greying grannies and grandpas were part of the eight bands that performed today.
A good crowd was gathered under the trees at Santos to see the bands perform.
