GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Cape Town Weather Office has issued a Level 4 weather warning for damaging waves valid from Thursday 13 to Friday 14 March.
Areas to be affected include: Bitou, George, Hessequa, Knysna and Mossel Bay.
South-easterly winds (50-70km/h gusting up to 90km/h) are expected between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas from Wednesday evening spreading to Plettenberg Bay on Thursday. These winds will persist into Friday however moderating north of Table Bay. These winds are likely to affect the adjacent coastal towns on Thursday and Friday.
Small boats must stay away from the open sea and seek the shelter of a harbour, river estuary or protected bay.
Fire danger warnings
Extremely high fire conditions are expected in places over the Namakwa (N.Cape) and the West Coast (WC) Districts today and tomorrow, Wednesday 12 March.

On Wednesday, isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers are expected over the central and eastern parts of the country, with severe thunderstorms possible and damaging winds along the south west coast.
