MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Several people this week received their certificates of attendance for an isiXhosa course they completed under instructor Eunice Ncithi and from the CEO of Afrishore Shipping, Shirley Schmidt, who graciously gave Eunice the opportunity to teach isiXhosa.
This concluded an exciting course for a varied group of students who jumped at the opportunity to learn to speak isiXhosa.
With Eunice being an accredited trainer at DRM Skills Academy under the ETDP Seta, which allows her to present a language course which is critical to job applications and tertiary application opportunities, the participants soon had the many clicking isiXhosa sounds mastered.

Presenting a well-structured and balanced third language course, Eunice teaches her students more than just the basic isiXhosa language but also about the culture which assists learners in their general interaction in everyday life with IsiXhosa-speaking people.
It bridges divides to greet someone in their mother language and to appreciate their culture. It shows the importance of language in making people feel respected.
The group of learners represented both individuals and company-enlisted students as well as a number of pensioners. Rauch Gertenbach attorneys enrolled a few of their staff and classes were offered at their premises for their own staff.
