MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club (MBSLC) achieved good results in the annual Cape Champs hosted by Eden Lifesaving district on 2 February on Santos Beach.

MBSLC participated with a small team against clubs from KZN, the Eastern and Western Cape.

In the men's open surf swim, Anton Durant came fifth and Wade Shaw 13th.

In the junior men's surf swim, Damian Smith came ninth.

Rudi Boer came second in the men's open beach sprint and third in the men's open flags.

AJ Stander and Anton Durant reached the semi-finals for the open board rescue.

In the woman's open surf swim, Janade Shaw came seventh.

There were 13 teams in total and Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club came ninth overall although they entered with a team of only six (this excludes the Nippers).
