MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Skydive Mossel Bay thanks residents for airing their concerns after instructor Juan Nel on Sunday performed a reserve drill.
Residents thought they saw a parachutist fall to the ground, when in fact it was only the main parachute that was dropped as part of the exercise.
Monica Biesenbach of Skydive Mossel Bay stresses that all the company's instructors are highly trained professionals who regularly and intensively perform exercises to ensure they remain alert and on top of their game.
"Fortunately, thanks to the neighbouring farmer, we managed to retrieve the main chute," she said.
