MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The SACD A men’s and women’s squash teams bested Gauteng’s Northerners in the final of the 66th Jarvis Kaplan Interprovincial Squash Tournament.
The teams went head to head on the all-glass court in the Mossel Bay Town Hall on Friday 10 July.
The top men’s and women’s teams from across the country had been battling it out on squash courts in Mossel Bay, George and Great Brak River since the tournament began on Monday 6 July, playing exciting games over the five days.
SACD’s A teams, the defending champions of the Jarvis (men) and Kaplan (women) cups, emerged victorious at the end, but not without a fight from the Gauteng teams. In both the men’s and women’s finals, the cup was only secured in the fifth and final match played.
This year, the tournament was hosted in the Garden Route for the first time, and included more than 200 players.
