Update
GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Robinson Pass has been reopened again after an earlier accident had resulted in its closure.
The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) issued a statement this morning, Sunday, 22 February, in which it confirmed that a trailer of a heavy-duty truck transporting maize had overturned on the pass at around midnight.
The GRDM Hazardous Materials Response Team was on the scene and a towing service was activated to assist with the removal of the heavy duty vehicle.
The Outeniqua Pass was used as an alternative during the closure.
