MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality won several accolades at the announcement of the winners of the Greenest Municipality Awards at an awards ceremony on Tuesday evening.
The portfolio chair of community services, councillor Niklaas Booisen, community services director Elize Nel and Mushfiqah Abrahams and Sizeka Monakali returned home from Cape Town with the awards as the local winner for Coastal Management & Urban Beautification as well as the first prize for Water Management.
In addition, Mossel Bay also boasts the award for innovation.
Overall, the Drakenstein municipality was the winner with 73%, second with 62% was Swartland and Mossel Bay municipality the second runner up with 60%.
