GEORGE NEWS - Motorists can expect a series of planned lane closures between Kraaibosch and Wilderness starting this week, as roadworks continue on this stretch of the N2.
According to David Le Cordeur, the South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) project manager for the Kraaibosch to Wilderness roadworks, the first lane closure is scheduled for this Thursday, 9 January, targeting the stretch from just before Dolphins Point towards Wilderness.
This initial closure will enable essential stabilisation work to continue in this critical area.
According to Le Cordeur, further closures are set to commence on Monday 13 January, extending from Farhills Hotel to the Kaaimans River bridge. Le Cordeur assured residents and commuters that more detailed information about these closures would be made available soon.
Sanral urges all motorists to exercise caution and plan their routes accordingly during this period to minimise disruptions.
