MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A pedestrian was run over in an accident on Louis Fourie Road in the area of Da Nova and Linkside on Monday, 29 July, at about 07:00.
A white Volkswagen golf Chico was involved in the accident. The accident took place on the stretch of Louis Fourie Road between Da Nova and the fire station.
Hospitalised
A 35-year-old Cape Town resident was hospitalised after the accident, police spokesperson Kappie Kapp said.
Kapp said emergency personnel went to the accident scene after being called out at 07:15.
The victim was found on the scene as well as the vehicle, he said.
Stabilised
"The victim was stabilised and taken to Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital for treatment," Kapp said.
No more details about the accident are known at this stage. Kapp said the accident was under investigation and the police had opened a case of reckless and negligent driving.
