MOSSEL BAY NEWS - NSRI Mossel Bay station commander André Fraser said the NSRI duty crew were requested to assist a fishing vessel at approximately 14:48 on Friday, 25 May.
"Following a request for assistance from the fishing trawler Vuna Liesa reporting fishing nets entangled in their motor propellors off-shore of Vleesbaai, a duty crew responded with the sea rescue craft Rescue 15 and St Blaze Rescuer, accompanied by salvage divers that had been arranged by their fishing company SeaVuna.
"On arrival on the scene the divers were able to recover all of the netting and the NSRI escorted the Vuna Liesa back to Mossel Bay harbour without incident."
