MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club Nipper, Tonya Schoeman, won a silver in the U10 girls' long run - 1 000m - at the Lifesaving South Africa National Nipper Championships on Tuesday, 3 April
Camlin Stevens of MBSLC won a bronze medal on Monday, 2 April. She came third in the final of the girls' U12 flags event.
Nippers are 13 years old and under.
The Nippers championships are taking place at King's Beach, Port Elizabeth, until Wednesday, 4 April.
Eleven Nippers from the local club are taking part in the nationals.
Bravery awards should definitely go to MBSLC Nippers Johann Gräbe and Malique Bergoër who took to the surf in extreme conditions - large swells and strong wind - for the boys' U11 bodyboard event.
Seven older lifesavers from the MBSLC are taking part in the National Championships from 4 to 7 April.
