MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay town council welcomed the new junior council today.
The Executive Mayor of Mossel Bay wished the young councillors well.
He said they have opportunities he never had as a scholar and should use every opportunity therefore to achieve the very best in service of their community.
The junior councillors represent all of the high and secondary schools in the area. They were elected with the assistance of the IEC. The junior council exactly mirrors the structure of the town council with office bearers such as a mayor, deputy mayor and executive mayoral committee.
The junior mayor is Jamie-Lee Matthysen of Curro Private School, the jnr deputy mayor is Sethu Mangxola of Hillcrest Secondary School, and junior municipal manager is Loumari Muller of Point High School.
