MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Curro Mossel Bay boasts a newly-appointed operational head for its primary school.
Sean Kristal will be the first to be holding this position at the Mossel Bay campus.
Kristal, an old boy of Paul Roos Gimnasium, Stellenbosch, hails from Cape Town. A keen cricketer, he spent time in Scotland playing professionally, when the University of Western Cape offered him a scholarship.
Studying BA Sports Science, he realised he had a passion for coaching and children. Therefore, pursuing further study in education was a natural progression.
He was privileged to return to his old stomping ground in Stellenbosch to teach at Paul Roos before he joined the team at Curro Durbanville.
"Following 10 years in education, I felt the next step for me would be to take up a stronger leadership and managerial role, which is why I was keen to come to Mossel Bay," he explains.
He is a keen golfer and with Mossel Bay offering a selection of pristine golf courses, the move was even more attractive. Not yet married, but in a long-term relationship with professional golfer, Tara Griebenow, Mossel Bay is his ideal new address.
"I am truly looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the learners and parent community of Curro Mossel Bay. I am also particularly excited about working alongside the executive head, Jaco Olivier, and the team to take Curro Mossel Bay to new heights."
