MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Now in its second month since launching, the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Collab Citizen smart phone application, is making great head way.
The Collab Citizen application is intended to take users to a new level of engagement, considering so much more than the basic service delivery.
This week, Director of Corporate Services, Anne Potgieter and Carl Karelse from the municipality’s Public Participation Office presented the application on three local radio stations. One on one sessions have been hosted during May as part of the capacity building with ward committee members in order to ensure that this state of the art application is being adopted by all residents of Mossel Bay. Collab Citizen is available on Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery and iPhone App Store.
For the App to be successful, it has to have users. Therefore, members of the Public Participation Office at the Mossel Bay Municipality, will visit the Bayside Mall, KwaNonqaba Mall, Heiderand Mall and Langeberg Mall next week to engage with members of the public on how to use this useful service delivery tool. Members of the public will be given a demonstration of application and receive handy pamphlets on how to make the best use of it.
Client service charter
The Mossel Bay Municipality’s newly released client service charter ideally goes hand in hand with the application. This handy booklet, acts as a fridge magnet and indicates the service delivery levels residents can expect from the municipality.
Furthermore, it contains useful numbers and other information to ensure that residents have a great experience dealing with the municipality and moreover, receive the service standard they are entitled to. These booklets will be available at libraries, municipal offices, Mossel Bay Tourism and other outlets.
Copies of the booklet will be available to the public during next week’s public engagement regarding the Collab Citizen app, which will be rolled out
in local malls.
