GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Carpe Musicam! Orchestra will treat concertgoers to their concert, Movie Delights, on Friday 10 June.
It will take place in the Dutch Reformed Mother Church hall at 19:00 and refreshments will be for sale from 18:00 by @Simon's.
As the title suggests, all the music on the programme has been used or written for use in movies - some dating back to the 1950s.
Bring the family and and let Carpe Musicam! take you on a raid with Pirates of the Caribbean; fly over Germany with The Dambusters; stop off in a rural Chocolat shop in France; or travel back in time to the 17th century with Barry Lyndon.
As usual the programme will have something for everyone and will be presented in Carpe Musicam!'s light-hearted and chatty way.
Sedgefielders can see this concert on Sunday 12 June in the Dutch Reformed Church hall in Hoopoe Street at 15:30, and the last performance of the series will be at Laminin Agora, eight kilometres outside Hartenbos on the R328 towards Oudtshoorn, at 15:30 on Sunday 19 June.
Doors open at 14:30 and a cash bar, coffee and refreshments will be available.
