MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay branch of the South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) recently raised an impressive R22 000 for the non-profit Simply Sow Charitable Foundation.
Simply Sow was established to provide support and a safe place for foster children in need in the Mossel Bay area.
Thinus and René Mouton founded it in 2022, and they initially aimed to raise awareness and collect donations for abandoned and neglected children. However, the organisation has grown substantially over the years and now has its own safe house, Baby Sanctuary.
The SACBW’s latest networking event was held at Bahia Bleu at Diaz Hotel.
The event started by bringing together local businesswomen and hosting inspiring speakers with valuable business insights.
There was also a bit of fun, and the attending members were taught some line dancing.
The silent auction was then held, during which the attendees could bid on various items, all for a good cause, raising R22 000 for the non-profit.
