Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality's portfolio chairperson for Finance, Alderman Mark Furness, and a co-accused Marie Francis made their second appearance in the George Magistrate's Court today.
The charges against them are tax related and involve the business, Bardins Jewellers. Furness and Francis have 75% and 25% interest in Bardins respectively.
They are facing 14 counts of tax-related offences.
The case was postponed to Wednesday 12 March because the docket was not at court today.
The reason for this is not known.
