MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay African National Congress (ANC) today emphasised the role of active citizenship in alleviating the community’s challenges when leaders and members of the organisation took to the streets of Asla Park to clean up the area.
As part of the ANC's #Thuma Mina initiative, party chief whip Jovan Bruinders lead colleagues, ANC volunteers and friends in the clean up campaign.and urged the community at large to join the ANC's efforts in addressing the socio-economic challenges facing the area.
This initiative followed the President, Cyril Ramaphosa initiative in his maiden State of the Nation Address in February when he called on all communities to support government in building a “fair, just and decent society”. Bruinders said the African National Congress calls on its leaders to ensure that the Thuma Mina Campaign continues to find expression by following the example laid down by the President and follow suit.
