MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A mass patrol through the streets of Mossel Bay was held in the misty conditions of last Friday evening, 25 April.
The patrol was initiated by M Sec Security, with the support, help and participation of members of the Lower Town Neighbourhood Watch and Mossel Bay Police Station.
Patrollers gathered at the entrance to the police station at about 19:30. Patrollers also included members of the security companies, Absolut Security, Skorpios Security and Fidelity ADT.
Suzette O'Brien, the chair of the Lower Town Neighbourhood Watch, said that in total, 26 people gathered for the mass patrol, using 20 vehicles to drive through town.
She said the mass patrol was held to make residents aware of the functions of the neighbourhood watch and encourage people to become involved.
"We, as the neighbourhood watch, work with the police and other important role players and do not replace them," she said.
