MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The police in KwaNonqaba confirmed that cases of armed robbery and attempted murder are being investigated after a 22-year-old man was wounded during an alleged business robbery, on Friday, 17 November.
The incident occured at Seven Star spaza shop, Adriaans Avenue, Asla Park.
“According to reports, three masked gunmen came into the store at 19:50 and instructed everyone in the store to lie down on the floor, while they demanded money,” said Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp.
Further reports indicate that one of the victims was shot in the leg when he tried to run out of the store. Kapp said the three gunmen fled the scene with cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The investigation is ongoing and any person who can assist the police with information can contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Hennie Bylsma (044 606 5633).
