MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 32-year-old Ethiopian will make his first appearance in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court today after police found an unlicensed firearm in his possession.
Police communication officer, Sgt Chris Spies says KwaNonqaba police followed up on information about the suspect who was traveling in a Toyota vehicle in Mossel Bay.
Police officers were strategically deployed along the N2 on Saturday and pulled over the vehicle.
The suspect could not explain why he was in possession of the firearm and also did not have a firearm license.
He was arrested on charges of being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and being in possession of the stolen property.
