MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba police again dealt drug dealers a blow when Wo JC Brink and his team on Thursday morning, 8 November, arrested a Tanzanian national (33) with a large quantity of Tik and Mandrax.
"Wo Brink had just returned to the station after a short deployment to a specialised task team.
"This is one of his team's first breakthroughs since his return. The arrest which took place at 06:15, is a breakthrough in the fight against crime.
"The officer commanding the KwaNonqaba Police Station, Lieut-Col Mandongana congratulated the police members involved in making this valuable arrest," the spokesperson for the KwaNonqaba Police, Sgt Kapp said.
"Drugs are often the reason for much of the petty crimes the police have to deal with as a drug-dependent person will stop at nothing to obtain his next fix.
The KwaNonqaba Police thank the community for the valuable information that led to this arrest."
Methamphetamine, called "Tik" in South Africa, is known for its harmful side effects. Tik is highly addictive and affects the central nervous system and heart.
