MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 32-year-old Ethiopian appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court on Monday, 16 May after police found an unlicensed firearm in his possession.
Police communication officer, Sergeant Chris Spies says KwaNonqaba police followed up on information about the suspect, who was travelling in a Toyota vehicle in Mossel Bay.
Police officers were strategically deployed along the N2 on Saturday, 14 May and pulled over the vehicle.
The suspect could not explain why he possessed the firearm and did not have a firearm license.
He was arrested on charges of being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and being in possession of the stolen property.
