GREAT BRAK RIVIER NEWS - A 40-year-old man will appear in the Great Brak River Magistrates Court on Friday, 13 August after a substantial amount of copper cables were found in his possession.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says the copper cables were cut into thirty smaller pieces.
A preliminary investigation suggests that members attached to the rural flying squad acted on a tip off and pulled the white Nissan bakkie off the road at Friemersheim near Great Brak River on Wednesday, 11 August.
Pojie says they searched the vehicle and found rolls of copper cable in a bag. The suspect was arrested on the spot and is being charged with being in possession of suspected stolen property.
