MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay resident Ena Jacobs is overjoyed after two good Samaritans helped restore her lost car key to her, saving her from having to replace it at great expense.
Jacobs lost her key near Harry Giddey Park on Friday, 14 February.
The following day, Admire Mpofu and Phillip Bekker, employees of local businessman Johan Stadler, found the key and handed it to their employer.
A photograph of the key was then sent to Mossel Bay Advertiser.
The Advertiser posted a photograph of the key on its Facebook page, noting that it had been found and giving a number that the owner could call in order to get the key.
Shortly after, a friend of Jacobs spotted the post and informed her about it.
"I got a quote for a new key and it would have cost me R31 000, including labour and computer elements," she said.
Jacobs, brimming with gratitude, rewarded Mpofu and Bekker with R500 each for their good deed.
