Locals meet famous TikToker

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A group of Mossel Bay residents got to rub shoulders with famous TikTok content creator Thami Hopewell Nkambule, aka iHope, when they acted in a commercial, shot in Mossel Bay this month.

The commercial, which was made for social media, such as YouTube and Instagram, is for an energy supplement.

iHope is seen jogging, meeting up with businessmen, going out on a date, playing soccer and more, and the advert is concluded with him saying he could not perform all his roles without the help of the energy supplement.

iHope has 7.6 million likes and 440 000 followers. He started off as a rapper in Afrikaans, which is his first language, but he turned to TikTok, becoming famous during the Covid-19 lockdown, with his clever play on words in Afrikaans. Familiar parts of central Mossel Bay can be seen in the commercial, so it is worth watching, and Mossel Bay really looks good in the advert.

The Mossel Bay actors in the commercial are Annetjie Koekemoer, Stephan Blaauw, Ruaan Botha, Ashwell Naude, Dylan Keen and Lebuhang Ntshakaza.
