Local lifesaver second at SA champs
Bradley James, Rigter Oosthuizen, Hansie Barnard, Janade Shaw, Jana Relihan, Gerdus Claassen and Rudi Boer of the Mossel Bay Surf LIfesaving Club at King's Beach, Port Elizabeth today.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Rudi Boer came second in South Africa in the U19 flags event. 

The Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club (MBSLC) sent seven lifesavers to the national championships held at Kings Beach. 

Prior to this 11 Nippers from the club took part in the Nippers' national championships. 

Today was the last day of the junior and senior lifesavers' championships.

Rudi took part in the finals of the senior sprint and U19 sprint. 

Also from MBSLC, Jana Relihan took part in the U17 sprint final; Gerdus Claassen was in the U17 flags final, and Hansie Barnard was in the U17 surf swim semi-final.

Also in the team of seven lifesavers were Janade Shaw, Bradley James, Rigter Oosthuizen.
