MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Indwe Secondary School will be doing the Southern Cape proud next month when it sends a team of budding engineers to the final of the 15th annual Aqualibrium Schools Water Competition.
The competition is presented by the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE).
It started as a South African competition in which learners had to design, construct and operate a water distribution system, exactly the same way qualified civil engineers would do in a municipality.
Over the past three years it has become an international event, with Swaziland and Zimbabwe also participating.
The learners have acquired valuable, highly practical skills through the competition thus far.
On Monday, 25 June, they had the added value of having Adrian van Moldendorff of SAICE's Southern Cape branch giving expert guidance and advice during their practice session at Indwe.
